Police Officers, which have helped change some of the most deprived communities in South Sefton have won a National Award.

The Gold Zone team, which was launched in 2004 to tackle issues such as anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and under-age drinking, beat competition from 450 applicants to win the accolade of best uniformed services team at the Public Servants Awards 2006.
